Mother
of pearl
Mother of pearl has been used since Ancient civilizations. In
the Middle Agles, it was used to make luxury objects. From the
XVIth century on, after new territories were discovered, its use
became more common. It was used as inlay to decorate furniture.
During the XVIIth, XVIIIth and XIXth centuries, this material
was widely used for buttons, boxes and marquetry.
We can provide irregularly shaped mother of pearl plates (10
to 12/10 mm thick) as well as variously sized round-shaped chips.
